reiTopic -- outfitters for the collapse of civilization?

wifeykins wrote about a dream with a store that was half hot topic half rei. that could either utterly suck or be utterly genious, depending on who you are on which half of which they take. 

Some REIs look like sears, but with more expensive clothes. Or I guess, what sears used to look like when they had everything--in particular, sporting goods. 

Bad version: cheap crap that references the outdoors. cars in lot: mom's brand new saab.

Good version: like REI but without the muted earth tones. cars in lot: old, rusted out trucks with winches in front, converted to un on biodiesel, and BMW offroad motorcycles.
